Join the Western Landowners Alliance and the Smith Family for a day on the J Lazy S Angus Ranch exploring how stewardship, innovation, and working lands go hand in hand. This field tour will highlight the ranch’s use of virtual fencing to manage post-fire recovery, a water conservation project, and forest management and selective timber harvesting, while also sharing the economic realities and opportunities of modern ranch stewardship.

Participants will hear firsthand from the Smiths about the conservation practices they’ve implemented with partners including WLA and NRCS, and learn how technology and collaborative stewardship are helping build more resilient ranches and landscapes. The event is open to landowners, producers, agency partners, and community members interested in the future of working lands in Idaho.
