Idaho Organizations and Agencies

  • American Farmland Trust was founded in 1980 to save America’s farms and ranches. As the movement’s leaders, we have three priorities: protecting agricultural land, promoting environmentally sound farming practices, and keeping farmers on the land.

  • The Idaho State Department of Agriculture was established in 1919 to serve and regulate this cornerstone industry. We oversee more than 60 sections of Idaho Code, and the agency is structured to efficiently implement our statutory duties. The ISDA is divided into the Director’s Office, six divisions and two bureaus.

  • The purpose of Sun Valley Institute for Resilience is to advance community resilience in Idaho’s Wood River Valley region by educating, investing and collaborating to ensure that the economy, environment and people thrive.

  • In Idaho, we’re bringing people together to drive transformational change and tackle the biggest conservation challenges. We invite you to join the effort. Together, we can create a world where people and nature thrive.

  • We bring the knowledge and research of the University of Idaho to you, where you live, when it’s convenient for you.

  • Idaho NRCS offers a variety of programs to help farmers, ranchers, forest landowners, Tribes and conservation partners with financial and technical assistance to voluntarily put conservation on the ground, not only helping the environment but agricultural operations, too.

  • We work to promote the protection of farms, forests, ranches, endangered species habitats, wetlands and other open spaces by empowering landowners to make smart, sustainable decisions about their land.
